Can you use a canister filter in an aquaponics system as your pump to feed your grow bed? what is the downside of keeping your grow bed filled as opposed to drained with a bell siphon? i wanted to know why i have not seen canister filters used as pumps to feed the grow bed since it will house a lot of beneficial bacteria and provide mechanical.
