Oregano is a great herb to have on hand. i love adding fresh leaves on top of my scrambled eggs or tomato sauce. the plant grows slowly and does not use a lot of water.. Hi. i’m having trouble with my hydroponic oregano. i’m using a hybrid wicking/water culture system and am keeping my ph between 6 and 6.5 and the ec around 1.0 (i realize that this is a bit low, but it’s sharing the bath with other plants that want a lower ec).. Oregano and marjoram are often confused or simply considered the same herb. they are not, however. oregano has long been called wild marjoram, but scientists have discovered that the two herbs are actually distinct..
Hydroponic herbs can grow anywhere from 25% to 50% faster than herbs grown in conventional garden soil. the roots get fed consistently from the nutrient solution in the water. you never have to worry about over or under watering or having your plants dry out.. Mint grown in water tends to have bigger, more lush foliage than land-grown mint, so it is ideal in hydroponic gardens. oregano (wild marjoram) oregano is a hardy perennial that has sprawling stems that can grow to 2 feet tall. it has small pink or white flowers. oregano can be propagated by seed or division.. Basil, sage, oregano, thyme, parsley, chives, tarragon and cilantro are among the most popular herbs, but they aren’t mandatory by any means. plant whatever you like in your garden, as long as it isn’t an herb that grows to a massive size..
